Sorry I missed you guys the other day at work. I hope you had a good visit with the crew. I feel as if I have really lost contact with you all so I guess I will just do a little catch up. The kids are doing good; Gilbert is a Jr. and Samantha a freshman at Liberty High school while Nolan has found a good construction job with Brun Metal. Melissa is taking Algebra class at PCC and that with keeping up with kids is keeping her busy. I have been working in TDE for about six months now and am still trying to learn how to write software. The job has been challenging but I am liking it.
Is Colin or Haley doing sports right now? I figure that baseball season must be starting about now so I hope Colin is playing. How is Haley liking high school? Have you guys had an opportunity to doing any fun trips or camping over the last year?
I heard from Randy that a new treatment is being used for the tumor. I am praying that it will be the answer and you will be feeling better. I think of you often and would love to get together and visit or do something with you. I think there are some car shows coming up maybe we should go to one. Anyways I miss you and think about you quite a bit. Drop me a note on my work email as that is the only one I ever seem to check. My best to you, Karen, and the kids.
Hey Neil and Karen, We pray for and think of you all the time. Have not seen an update lately and pray that all is well. We have not called since if you're too busy to post an update you're probably way too busy to take phone calls. Either way, you're always in our hearts and in our prayers.
Hello Neil and Karen, It was good to see an update on your website. I will keep a positive attitude and keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I have strong faith that whatever recovery method you choose will be the best choice for all concerned. I hope you have all been able to keep cool with the "unusually warm" weather. It seems unusually so anyway for this early in the summer . I see that Steve has notified you that he will be leaving GPAC soon. He will be sorely missed. Terry and I have been to see a couple good movies out in theatres. "Harry Potter" and "Live Free or Die Hard". I would highly recommend both movies for what they're worth. Aw Monday. On that note I should get back to work but I just wanted to post this and let you know we are keeping you close in our thoughts. Stay strong and well, Julie S.
How's it going? Sorry I have been out of touch for a while. Work sent me to Sanmina in Guadalajara twice on short notice and then family stuff popped up. I think about you often and wonder how you all are doing.
I am moving down to the TDE group in 4 weeks. After 12 years in GPAC I decided it was time for a change. I will be just down the hall so not to far away from the group.
The kids are doing good with Sam and Gilbert getting good grades at the end of the year. Nolan is doing construction work and looks as if he fell into a good spot. We will see how it turns out. He has been sturgeon fishing and has been enjoying that.
Well I am at work right now so I am going to wrap up. I will get back to email you a more often again. Thinking of you and your family.
Neil and Karen,
I was just browsing your website a few minutes ago and saw the wonderfully good news about the MRI! All sounds very promising. I will keep you in my thoughts daily and send my positive power your way!
My hope for you is that now that school is out for 3 months your kids are keeping you occupied and haven’t gone stir crazy already!
Did you get that hot tub installed yet? It sounds kind of silly asking that question when you look outside today and it is upwards of 80*. The temperature does not matter for me. I like to use the hot tub in my gym regardless of the weather. It helps to soothe sore muscles and or relax me after a stressful day!
Oh by the way I bought a Toyota Matrix. Yep I thought after 10 years it was time to semi-retire my Camry. By semi-retire I mean that I sold it to my youngest daughter for a reasonable price. And if she keeps up with the preventative maintenance it should last her another 10 years. I hope?
Please keep up the awesome work at keeping yourself healthy and onto a speedy recovery! You should know that I look here at least weekly in hopes of catching some update to your journey.
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers,
Julie Schuchman
Neil and Karen,
Just yesterday you were heavy on my mind and thoughts. I did not follow my initial instinct and post something immediately. I am here now.
I hope all is well with you.
School is almost out and I know you will be enjoying the extra time with your children. Hopefully there won't be too many discussions about what to watch on t.v. or what is a good time to get up in the morning. It wasn't that long ago for me that I had teenagers in my home that I had power struggles with. Your kids on the other hand I am sure are more well rounded and listen to EVERY direction you give them.
So for now I will close and wish you the best.
Take care and know you are strongly missed,
Julie
Dear Karen, Neil, Haley, and Colin, I'm thanking God for the positive news about Neil's progress! I want you to know you are all remembered each week when Countryside's pastors and staff pray (I know this because I make them let me pray with them).
I learned about this website only recently and the post I just left on the "how to help" site looks silly, now, as I read that your projects seem to all be finished. My offer still stands, however! On a personal note, keep up the good fight! While each cancer is different, each one can be beaten. I'm ten years cancer-free without one bad report since treatment finished. I pray the same will be true for you seven times over, Neil, when this is all done. That should keep you safe 'til you're about, hmmm... that would take you to about a hundred, right? Love to you all, Holly
Hello Neil and Karen,
I know it has been too long since I have written. No, bad, shame. I am really encouraged to see that things are progressing in a postive way for your recovery! Just how long will you really milk this anyway?
I hope you are enjoying the lovely sun this week. I know I started breaking out of the 4 wall reatraint recently. I have really been stretching the gears and brakes on my bike. Oh and not to mention yesterday Terry, John and I went on an exploration/discovery trip to find climbing opportunites near here.
If I understand that last post it would appear that you have a new hot tub? Boy I bet the friends, neighbors and relatives are coming out of the woodwork?
Let me say to you I think of you frequently during the day and have been sending positive thoughts and good energy towards you and your family.
I miss you lots!
Julie
Neil, I hope you've been able to get the new hot tub plumbed -- it sure looks like a beauty. I recommend a good soaking with all the jets turned to 10.
Glad to hear things are going better and hope to use your hottu....I mean...I hope to come visit soon!
Neil, Karen, Haley and Colin, I was super enthused about the May 13th update: that the blood clot was caught early and that there's evidence that the tumor is responding to radiation and chemotherapy treatments! We continue to pray at least once a day that God would heal Neal. In fact, we have been praying that it's His will that you will still be able to go to Europe this summer as you had planned. You are in our thoughts all the time and we love all of you! Markus, Heather, Andreas, Lincoln, and Winston
How are you all doing? You guys enjoying the sunny weather? I hauled out my hammack this week after seeing yours in your yard. There is nothing like snuggling up with Melissa after a long day at work. Except then we usually get Samantha up there and then one of the pups want to join us. If it was big enough I swear the whole family plus dogs would be on it.
In two weeks I think I am going to take a vacation week from work. I will have to set up a visit and hang out with you guys for an afternoon. I called yesterday but didn't get through. I waited for the answering machine to pick up but it seem to keep ringing so I hung up. I will try again today.
Well its my turn to get around this morning so I had better get moving. I will give a call sometime after noon. Take care and enjoy the day.
Sure do miss you around here! There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that we don't think or talk about you. Well, it is mostly good stuff. I mean it just makes it more difficult and takes all the fun out of teasing you online for all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are for you and your family daily. Gotta go chase Barb and the dogs out of the hammock!
Sorry its been a week since I wrote you. It was a busy week. Lots of stuff going on at work. The eye infection that I thought I had wasn't an infection after all. It turns out that I had an inflammation between the layers of my eye. On Manday my eyes were worse off after using the anti-biotic drops for 4 days so I got to the opthamologist and he prescribed steriod drops. They are helping a lot and I can focus pretty good with the right eye again.
Today is Gilbert's 16th b-day. His Tai Kwon Do instructor was setting up a poker nite in his dojo tonight and anyone 16 or older was invited so Gilbert wanted to do that. It was pretty fun. He likes to play and actually did pretty well. He lasted a lot longer than I did.
Randy is off on his Spain trip. he was getting excited the last couple of days at work. I hope they have a great time.
Well its late and I am going to wrap up. Have a great day tomorrow. Know that I am thinkng of you and that you are first in my prayers.
hi Neil, sorry i haven't gotten ahold of you sooner - Randy and Steve have given me updates and the website on how you are doing. our family has kept you and your family in our prayers. this website is a great idea to let us see how you are while letting you have some peace and quiet. obviously we are all missing you and eager to hear about your recovery. a good friend of mine at church is just recovering from the same thing. the doctors were able to operate, though they cautioned the operation was as risky to him as the tumor. the operation went well, and he had some relief. his chemotherapy was successful as well, and now he is considered recovered enough to return to work. he is on his feet and strong, so hopefully his improvement will give you a bit more hope and encouragement. i'm in JF now working on cpu testing. it is challenging but nice to have early silicon and boards - it was always a challenge in GPAC to wait to get the equipment we needed. i work with Ahmed in ITO now, again, too. anyway, our thoughts and prayers are with you - keep up the fight! regards Pat
If my spelling is completely awful, it is because there is no spell checker here and I have forgetten how to spell many words. I am completely at the mercy of technology.
Neil, I relly miss seeing you here and having our iunteresting 1x1s. You keep everything lively and you are greatly missed. I think of you nearly every day and even though I am not a particularly religous person, I pray for your recovery and to see you in here at back at Intel fully recovered.
Things are really busy here and we could really use your help. Frankly Shirleen is completely lost without you and the CS Fast Track is a disaster. On the plus side, Hong Kong is a safer place without you in Asia.
I really do need you back here so keep fighting and I'll keep praying.
Good Sunday to you you all. Melissa and I have been working in the yard this morning. She put out food for the hummingbirds all winter and we have a little group of them that have been hanging out around here. The Anna's hummingbird stays year round. I have no idea what they feed on in the winter but they are here even on the coldest days. Melissa had to bring the nectar in and thaw it out everyday during the cold spell. The Rufous Hummingbird migrates out in the late fall and is back in early spring. Brave little things, one buzzed me and I thought I was being attacked by a Boone and Crocket hornet. Melissa is still chuckling.
Hope you guys are having a good day. If I was you I would be laying on that nice hammack in the backyard having the kids bring me lunch and a cold drink. Oh, yeah. In fact I think I am going to follow my own advice. Now where are those kids!.
Hello Neil,
I love having you in the lab and anticipate your return after you are physically able. Everything is well in GPAC, but even better when you are with us.
I am glad to hear things are progressing in a positive direction for you. Continue in your faith, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
It was great seeing you guys today. I sure hope the visit wasn't too much. I think the group needed to see Neil as much as I hope he wanted to see us. You guys looked so much better at home. I am sure glad you guys are there now. It was a relief to see Neil smiling and walking around the place showing us what those good folks had done around there. If any of you people who worked on the backyard read this then I gotta say "Great job!".
All of the other co-workers who didn't make it was asking about Neil and how he was doing, if he liked the video, etc. They got a kick out of knowing he had some good laughs. We are already talking about a sequel. Neal needs to watch that video a few times. There are subtle nuances throughout. Derrick did a great job putting it together.
I just wanted to let you guys know how good it was to see you. You both a such great people. The Grants are such a great family. Much love and respect to you all.
Dear Grant Family, Diana Paladichuk sent me this website via webmail here at Middleton Elementary. I just wanted to tell you that you are and will continue to be in my family's prayers. I was happy to hear that Neil is at home resting, there is no better place than home for that! Wishing you only the best, Penny, Tom, and Emily Wade
So you finally are at home again. That should be a great feeling. Those hospital rooms are nice enough but nothing beats home. Just ask Dorothy!
Hope you feeling a bit better. I know from my nephew that the first week of chemo and radition can be rough! You kick back and relax at the house and don't take on any big projects. I can just see you walking around with a paper and pen thinking well this project and that project were completed so now I can do this or that.
Anyways I was home from lunch and saw the update so I thought I would drop a quick note.
This got posted somewhere else in this website but I couldn't find it. So here it is again.
Neil and Karen,
I am sure that you guys have been swamped with information about treatments, doctors, etc. but I was told about Dr. Linda Liau at UCLA. I have attached a link to a story where she is involved in cutting edge studies on the treatment of brain cancer.
I am thinking of swinging by the hospital today to just say "hi" to whoever is there. I enjoyed sitting with Neil that day in the hospital and miss talking to him. I have been thinking of you guys everyday. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Hey Neil, hows it going today? I just read the update and am glad that Dr. Berber is in agreement with the treatment that you are recieving. I hope that you make it home this week.
Do you remember the conversation we had in the hospital? I had said that I believed you were going to beat this but there was going to be some tough battles. Well you just went through a big battle. You are a strong man and will fight through this. I hope I get to see you again soon. You or Karen give me a call when it is okay to visit.
Now for some lighter email. I had a shaving accident and had to take my beard and mustache off. Why is there such short settings on those trimmers? I thought I was just cleaning my mustache up a little and then the next moment one side of my upper lip looked liked it belonged on Adolph Hitler. So off came the whole thing. Nolan has taken to calling me "Baby-face Nelson". Good thing I recently lost all of that weight or I would have more chins than a chinese phonebook. They took a picture of me at work so there is proof. I don't think I had been clean shaven for the last ten years.
Hope that gives you a chuckle. Anyways thinking of you and wishing you the best.
Later, Steve
To all of the family, I can only imagine how tough the last month has been but I want you to have strength and believe in our Lord. I know that when my nephew Nick was diagnosed with cancer the second time it was a major blow to the our family. The cancer had returned with a vengence and everyone was very scared but we all prayed and held on to positive thoughts. In an earlier email I reported that Nick has just celebrated his 5th year cancer free. I have talk with my brother and sister-in-law about Neils sistuation and they have asked me to pass on their thoughts and prayers to you all. The prayer chain is getting larger everyday.
I am sure that I am voicing the same thoughts of many people when I say that I wish there was more that I could do for you. Just remember that many people are here for you and are willing to do anything they can at anytime. All you have to do is ask.
You all are in many thoughts and hearts and prayers. Hold onto to faith and God bless you all.
Your friend,
Steve Beegle
I think of you and your family every day...actually many times each day. We got your news letter today and I'm glad you have made the decision not to teach for the rest of the year. You should be with your family. I'm grateful that Maria will be taking your place at school. She is doing a great job. I explained the situation to Sailor and she was totally happy with it. If you ever need anyone to take care of Hershey, let us know. Take care of yourself and your family!
From Grant Francois: "To Mrs. Grant. I miss you. You're the best teacher ever. I wish you're here. Love, Grant"
From Drew Francois: "My brother always says 'I miss my teacher'. When I was in your class you were my favorite teacher and you still are. I hope your husband gets better."
Karen and Neil-
I don't have the words to say so I won't even try... Just know that you've got tons of support in this community and we're all pulling for you guys. I send good thoughts and prayers your way every time I drive by. The kids are sad that you won't be coming back this year, but we all totally understand. We would all do the same in your situation. Maria is doing an awesome job and has made the transition almost unnoticeable! (It certainly helps to have the same last name). You guys are awesome!!!
I just thought I would drop you a quick note about my nephew Nick. You know that he has had cancer and is down from Alaska getting his yearly check up. Well the great news is that the test result came back and he is cancer free for the 5th year. I hope this news give you strength and faith. I truly believe that you will also be celebrating the same victories. I will give you a call this weekend. take care a have a good evening with Karen and the kids.
Neil and Karen- We have been driving past your house so much lately on our way to Spring soccer practice at Snyder! Every time we drive by our family says a prayer for you! God is so faithful and we hope that you can feel His presence during this time! We think of you often. This website is such a blessing because up until now I have been relying on updates from your mom at Jazzercise! Mike, Lisa, Andrea, Austin, Aidan, and Ariana
Hi Karen, I gave Maria that DVD to give to you. Hopefully, you got a chance to check it out. Those kids are hilarious and clearly their on their way to becoming readers. I didn't get a chance to really thank you for all the support you gave to me as a student teacher - thank you. I learned a lot from observing you teach. I'll miss being in your class, and I miss you being around. Anyway, I'm thinking and praying for you and your family. It looks like you are luckily surrounded by lots friends and family. That's nice to see. -Heather
H INeil,
I aThis should crack you up. I am finally going to admit to you that my bike is Pink. Yes it is. As much as the advertisement assured it is Magenta. When all is said and done that bike is pink. But oh the mud splattered on it is an awesome camoflauge pattern. Like something you see in the mall. Hey there is a marketing idea for someone. Paint the mountain bike camoflauge.
I hope you are doing well and you must know that we miss you around here.

Well Neil as you are obviously aware of my skill in the homebrew department, I've been crafting a new IPA I'm going to brew that's going to be called Neilix IPA! It'll probably take a good couple of months before it's ready but I'll make sure you get a bountiful sample of the goods when it's finished . Derrick and I were also talking and we're going to put together a homebrew care package for you consisting of some of Derricks Finest Ales and Some of my Best vintages as well, So be expecting it as we're getting this going very soon! We miss you man, the place isn't the same without you! Derrick and I raised a toast to you the other day and wish you and your family the best (as does everyone here). I look forward to having a beer with you and hanging out, we're working something out along those lines right now so anticipate a fun filled afternoon with some finely crafted ale heading your way soon! Stay cool Neil & get well! -Brian
It was good seeing everyone last week, that hot tub looks really cool guys and I'm sure it's coming in handy! Neil I don't know if you have had a chance to try that IPA I brought over but as soon as it's ok to do so try it out and let me know what you think! I have a few other varieties coming down the line and I'll make sure you handpick some for you for around Christmas. I hope all the Grants are doing well and that you all had a happy Thanksgiving! -Brian
Hello, we do not know each other but we have common friends. My wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor in August of 2006. I have a lot of experience with treatments both at OHSU and in California. I would love you share my experience with you. I have done hundreds of hours worth of research on treating brain tumors and which medical facilaties are best suited to do so in the US. I am here to help anyway I can. My name is David Davis. You can email me at fundadvice@comcast.net or call my cell 503-867-6278.
I know from experience that the burden is heavy. I also know from experience that God is faithful and will carry as much of the burden as we allow him to carry.
God bless you and your family. I have been and will continue to pray for your family.
Hi Neil and Karen,
You are in our thoughts and prayers daily. I have been getting updates weekly from Randy and Steve. You have a lot of people praying for you in this battle!! There are many prayer warriors just on this web site! We all want to help and strength in prayer seems to come first. If there is anything I can do for you and your family I will be glad to. I read the comment about shaving heads but not sure as my head looks like the Grand Canyon and Rocky mountains from my fight with the car. But I am slowly cutting Barbs hair at night, the only problem is that she feels she is not getting a good nights sleep and is grouchy so I may have to resort to the dogs. The very best to you and your family.
Gerry & Barb
Dear Mrs. Grant, I rele mis you. I prae Mr. Grant gets betr soon. So then you can cum bac tu room 2. Love, Colby Dear Karen and Family, We are thinking of you all often. Our prayers go out to you throughout our day. Karen- you are so missed in the classroom but may you find comfort in knowing Maria is doing a wonderful job filling in for you. We wish you strength as you care for your family. Love, The Nielsen Family
Neil, Karen, Hailey and Colin: God's blessings are all around you, your family and friends. We pray that you remain strong and that you heal. May you find comfort knowing that so many people care.
You are all in our prayers--healing for Neil & strength, faith, trust, courage and endurance for the whole family. Tough times for each of you in your own way. Family is so special. When one hurts, you all hurt. We hurt with you. The Lord is with you as you all walk through this together. Nothing is too big for Him.
Jerry & Melissa Michaels, friends of Brian and Maria
Glad your surgery was successful and you have a little relief Neil! So I was thinking since your family and friends are so good at rallying around you - maybe we could do something to help get ready to BATTLE evil cancer cells... all the guys (like your brothers Brian and Dave) would need to shave their heads in honor of you, and the girls (like Maria and Karen) can have warrior stripes put in their hair. (like bright red or pink!!) Whaddaya think?!! Are you smiling at the visual?!
Just wanted you to know we're thinking about you. We are all banding together to help you and be warriors for you Neil and Karen. Hayley and Colin too. Praying for an extra measure of God's grace for you today. Lots of love! Tim and Sophia Brown
I feel bad. Let God lead you and follow his path. It's the best!!!
Love, Reide Adams, 2nd grade - Mrs. Frank's room
PS; You are great!!!
Dear Karen and Neil, (the above is completely from Reide)
I don't know what to say. I have been working with Kelli Hall on several projects and understand she has been instrumental in making things happen at the Grant home. WOW! How blessed I am to know such a fantastic soul - I know you feel the same.
Karen - when I saw you two Thursdays ago I had no idea what was going on in your life. I haven't talked with you in a while and your words to me were so inspiring. It felt so good to give you a hug. You are such a wonderful person.
Neil - no words can express........I know that you are comforted with the support, love and prayers. It still has to be extremely hard. Why???? What is the reason??? Please take Reide's words to heart.
We pray for your kids and their understanding. I hope they are doing o.k. I would love to help with Hailey and Colin (spelling wrong?? sorry), in any way. If I can shuttle them to activities, or whatever would help. I think Hailey remembers me from the barn. I could even take her up there for a break. Whatever we can do to help! Please, please, please use our help!

Let me say to you I think of you frequently during the day and have been sending positive thoughts and good energy towards you and your family.
I miss you lots!
Julie
Soaking?
Neil, I hope you've been able to get the new hot tub plumbed -- it sure looks like a beauty. I recommend a good soaking with all the jets turned to 10.
Glad to hear things are going better and hope to use your hottu....I mean...I hope to come visit soon!

Good News
Neil, Karen, Haley and Colin, I was super enthused about the May 13th update: that the blood clot was caught early and that there's evidence that the tumor is responding to radiation and chemotherapy treatments! We continue to pray at least once a day that God would heal Neal. In fact, we have been praying that it's His will that you will still be able to go to Europe this summer as you had planned. You are in our thoughts all the time and we love all of you! Markus, Heather, Andreas, Lincoln, and Winston
Good Morning
Morning Grants,
How are you all doing?
Your friend,
Steve
HEY
Sure do miss you around here! There doesn't seem to be a day that goes by that we don't think or talk about you. Well, it is mostly good stuff. I mean it just makes it more difficult and takes all the fun out of teasing you online for all of us. Our thoughts and prayers are for you and your family daily. Gotta go chase Barb and the dogs out of the hammock!

Late Saturday Night
Hey Neil,
Sorry its been a week since I wrote you.
Your friend,
Steve
hope you are doing well
hi Neil, sorry i haven't gotten ahold of you sooner - Randy and Steve have given me updates and the website on how you are doing. our family has kept you and your family in our prayers. this website is a great idea to let us see how you are while letting you have some peace and quiet. obviously we are all missing you and eager to hear about your recovery. a good friend of mine at church is just recovering from the same thing. the doctors were able to operate, though they cautioned the operation was as risky to him as the tumor. the operation went well, and he had some relief. his chemotherapy was successful as well, and now he is considered recovered enough to return to work. he is on his feet and strong, so hopefully his improvement will give you a bit more hope and encouragement. i'm in JF now working on cpu testing. it is challenging but nice to have early silicon and boards - it was always a challenge in GPAC to wait to get the equipment we needed. i work with Ahmed in ITO now, again, too. anyway, our thoughts and prayers are with you - keep up the fight! regards Pat
By the way
Neil,
If my spelling is completely awful, it is because there is no spell checker here and I have forgetten how to spell many words. I am completely at the mercy of technology.
Get better buddy, we miss you and we need you.
Pete
Hi Neil
Neil, I relly miss seeing you here and having our iunteresting 1x1s. You keep everything lively and you are greatly missed. I think of you nearly every day and even though I am not a particularly religous person, I pray for your recovery and to see you in here at back at Intel fully recovered.
Things are really busy here and we could really use your help. Frankly Shirleen is completely lost without you and the CS Fast Track is a disaster. On the plus side, Hong Kong is a safer place without you in Asia.
I really do need you back here so keep fighting and I'll keep praying.
Pete
Sunny Sunday
Later,
Steve
Hello
Hello Neil,
I love having you in the lab and anticipate your return after you are physically able. Everything is well in GPAC, but even better when you are with us.
I am glad to hear things are progressing in a positive direction for you. Continue in your faith, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Have a great weekend!
Visit
Neil and Karen,
It was great seeing you guys today.
-Steve
Dear Grant Family, Diana
Dear Grant Family, Diana Paladichuk sent me this website via webmail here at Middleton Elementary. I just wanted to tell you that you are and will continue to be in my family's prayers. I was happy to hear that Neil is at home resting, there is no better place than home for that! Wishing you only the best, Penny, Tom, and Emily Wade
Home at last!
Take care.
Your friend,
Steve
Some info

Thinking....
....good thoughts for your extraordinary family. Sincerely, Susan Mc and the men
Just saying "Hi"
Have strength
Dear Grants,
To all of the family, I can only imagine how tough the last month has been but I want you to have strength and believe in our Lord.
Kids
Dear Mrs. Grant,
I liked when your kids came in our classroom. We had fun with them.

Thinking of you
Karen,
I think of you and your family every day...actually many times each day.
Lisa Benitez
message from the Francois Family
From Grant Francois: "To Mrs. Grant. I miss you. You're the best teacher ever. I wish you're here. Love, Grant"
From Drew Francois: "My brother always says 'I miss my teacher'. When I was in your class you were my favorite teacher and you still are. I hope your husband gets better."
Karen and Neil-
You guys are awesome!!!
I miss you!
Dear Mrs. Grant -
I hope your husband feels better soon. I love you! From Jack A.
And we are all thinking about you at this time. Jack really misses you at school. Hang in there and we hope to see you soon.

Hey Neil,
I just thought I would drop you a quick note about my nephew Nick.

Thinking of you and your family, Karen
Hi Karen, I gave Maria that DVD to give to you. Hopefully, you got a chance to check it out. Those kids are hilarious and clearly their on their way to becoming readers. I didn't get a chance to really thank you for all the support you gave to me as a student teacher - thank you. I learned a lot from observing you teach. I'll miss being in your class, and I miss you being around. Anyway, I'm thinking and praying for you and your family. It looks like you are luckily surrounded by lots friends and family. That's nice to see. -Heather
Confession
H INeil,
I aThis should crack you up.

Neilix IPA on the way!
Well Neil as you are obviously aware of my skill in the homebrew department, I've been crafting a new IPA I'm going to brew that's going to be called Neilix IPA! It'll probably take a good couple of months before it's ready but I'll make sure you get a bountiful sample of the goods when it's finished
. -Brian
Neilix IPA followup
It was good seeing everyone last week, that hot tub looks really cool guys and I'm sure it's coming in handy! Neil I don't know if you have had a chance to try that IPA I brought over but as soon as it's ok to do so try it out and let me know what you think! I have a few other varieties coming down the line and I'll make sure you handpick some for you for around Christmas. I hope all the Grants are doing well and that you all had a happy Thanksgiving! -Brian
Helpin Hand and information.
Hey

Shaved heads and Warrior stripes!
Hi Neil and Karen,
Glad your surgery was successful and you have a little relief Neil!
From the bottom of my heart
God bless you and take care of you.
Rob, Josie, Sabrina and of course Reide
